Hard Enamel BadgesFor a top quality enamel badge, a Hard Enamel Badge is your first choice. Also known as vitreous enamel, this is the traditional method of badge making. Using a glass powder, each enamel colour is oven baked at extremely high temperatures then air-cooled.
A sharpening stone is used to polish off the rugged surface of the molten glass. This baking and stoning process is repeated a number of times for each colour. While this is the most time consuming method, it produces a great high quality, long lasting enamel badge.
